Discuss and consider approving a new chair for the remainder of 2026 a. Daisy enjoys being vice chair and would prefer to elect a new chair in place of Rachna b. Curtis asked about the requirements for chair and what the responsibilities are: duties are outlined in the bylaws but mostly it involves supporting the board, holding the board accountable for quorum, supporting the onboarding of new members c. Daisy nominated Curtis Gee as the new chair – Curtis accepted – Dianna seconded the motion. The board members present voted to approve Curtis Gee as their new chair for the remainder of 2026.
- —1. Membership a. CAB still has 6 members b. Will continue to work on recruitment in hopes to increase diversity of membership and better reflect the demographics of the PIT count 2. Site Visit/Feedback a. CAB visited Antioch Showers site July 7th – received lots of positive feedback on HCH services. Only suggestions for improvement were help with transportation (limited ability if clients do not have a medical apt or other justifiable reason for rides) b. Dianna connected with the team that hosts the shower site to see how the CAB could help support them – they could use volunteers on Thursdays and would also love help with donations. CAB wanted to check in with board members and see if their organizations would be able to assist with donations – received a list of high-need items; other considerations were to fundraise by holding bake sales or clothing/food drives. O’Neill shared that he has a good connection for a second-hand store that offers quality options; Mia also suggested Hospice of East Bay; Curtis shared a board application with Rikka who runs the Antioch Showers site c. O’Neill – shared they applied for a shuttle service with HUD and could provide rides to Antioch Showers d. HCH will now have an AOD staff member at the Antioch Showers on Tuesdays with the mobile clinic 3. National HCH Conference b. Dianna attended as CAB representation – had an amazing time and learned so much from the many classes/seminars she attended c. Large emphasis was placed on volunteer work and getting involved with the community – working to do more of this with our CAB
